Went down and started to dig Allotment 2

Today I went down the Allotment and I started to dig Allotment 2. Despite the ground still being quite frozen from the frost and also the ground becoming more saturated as the frost melts away, I managed to dig about 10ft x 3ft. I will continue to do this as and when I can, as the weather for the week looks likely to stay cold with some overnight frosts. The onions that I currently have on the Allotment that I planted last year appear to not look to good so I am currently contemplating on whether to take these up and re-dig the patch to put something else in (possibly my onion seedlings when ready) or if to leave them and see if they do come to big onions. The weather last night was a hard frost with temperatures falling a couple of degrees below freezing. The weather today has been cloudy however there has been no rain/snow, but it has been very cold. The wind has also not been too strong. The weather overnight is that it will be very cold and there is a possibility of some snow showers, however these are expected to be light. Tomorrow more snow showers are expected with temperatures struggling once more and only just getting above freezing.
