Went down the Allotments but ground still frozen

This morning around 11 I went down the Allotment only for about 45 minutes due to the ground still being frozen. I took the line trimmer down but unfortunately the grass was still to frozen in order for it to cut it properly. Also I was unable to get onto the raised beds as the soil was still frozen. I went down and looked briefly at the raspberries and have seen that they need cutting back and tying in at some point while they are still dormant. I also went over to Allotment 2 and put the black polythene over where I am currently planning on moving the Polytunnel too. Last night we had quite a hard frost and further south they had some light snow but currently we have only had a few flurries of snow here, still feeling very cold though. Overnight tonight there is rain expected and into tomorrow.
